Fleet REST API Overview
Overview
The Fleet REST API helps users easily manage Fleet. Users can seamlessly integrate vehicle and device information, real-time data, vehicle control, driver details, maintenance, and anomaly statuses with their preferred platform in their desired manner.
Pre-requisite
To use the Fleet REST API, refer to the Getting Started - Start with REST API section for pre-setup instructions.
Vehicle
Provides functions to register and manage vehicles. If a telematics device (Telematics) is installed in the vehicle, real-time vehicle data can be retrieved. If multiple telematics devices are installed, data from the main telematics device (Main telematics device) is considered as the vehicle’s data.
Device
Provides functions to register and manage devices. Devices are classified as telematics devices (Telematics) or non-telematics devices (e.g., dashcams).
Vehicle Device Matching
Provides functions to attach or detach devices from vehicles.
Relationship between Vehicle and Device
A single vehicle can have multiple devices installed.
A vehicle can have multiple telematics devices installed, but only one can serve as the main telematics device. The data received by the main telematics device is considered as the vehicle’s data, and the main telematics device can be changed as needed by the user.
Device model
Retrieve the types of devices supported by the Fleet API. To register a device, information about the device model is required. The supported device models are as follows.
(If a vehicle generates and transmits data directly without a device, the vehicle itself is registered as a device.)
Device model name | Description | DeviceSourceId information to be registered |
---|---|---|
Hyundai | Hyundai vehicle | Vehicle VIN |
Kia | Kia vehicle | Vehicle VIN |
Genesis | Genesis vehicle | Vehicle VIN |
